Engadine Heathcote Oztag

Oztag is a non-tackling game and the rules are designed to encourage this. Passing, catching, tagging, and kicking are the skills utilised in Oztag. It is played over two 20 minutes periods, by two teams with eight players from each team on the 70m × 50m field (half a Soccer/Rugby field).

Players uniforms include shorts with a velcro patch on each side known as a tag. With the object of the game to score tries, defenders can prevent this from happening by removing the tag from the ball carrier's shorts. A team is allowed six tags to score a try by placing the ball down over the try line. If this isn't achieved the ball is turned over to the opposition.
