About

Esperance District Football Association (EDFA) is a sports club located in the Shire of Esperance, Western Australia. The club is dedicated to promoting and developing Australian rules football within the region. As a member of the EDFA, individuals have access to various football leagues, events, and opportunities for players of all ages.

The EDFA League Administrator, Kate Ainsworth, can be contacted for any inquiries or information regarding the club. She can be reached via email at edfa@bigpond. Net. au or by phone at 0438942972.

The club's postal address is EDFA – PO Box 956 Esperance 6450. During the season, individuals can also visit the club's office located at 2 James Street Esperance, which is conveniently situated across from the museum. The office is open on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm.

The EDFA is governed by a dedicated group of directors, including Stuart Tholstrup as President, Nicole Fraser as Vice President, and Justin Tarasinski, Basil Parker, Brett Trocinski, Murray Norwood, and Terry Buckley as Directors. They work together to ensure the smooth operation of the club and the fulfilment of its goals.

The club also has a Junior Committee, consisting of Reece Griffiths as the EFC Delegate, Greg Curnow as the GFC Delegate, Shane Liddelow as the NCFC Delegate, David McGrinder as the PFC Delegate, and Chris Cassam as the Auskick Coordinator. Additionally, Mike Perry serves as the Talent Development Administrator, and Brad Forrester takes charge as the Umpires Coordinator.

EDFA proudly acknowledges its Platinum Sponsors, who provide vital support to the club. The club's website and social media platforms are regularly updated with the latest news, updates, and important information for members. Individuals can access the GameDay App to stay up-to-date with their favourite teams, view match results, fixtures, and statistics, and keep an eye on rival teams.

The EDFA encourages rugby enthusiasts to register for the season using the National Registration System. In compliance with the Federal Government's Privacy Legislation, players from previous seasons cannot be automatically rolled over to the current season. Therefore, players or their parent or guardian, are required to log in to Sporting Pulse for junior players or Play HQ for Auskick (PP – Yr3) and complete the registration process. They may need to provide documentary evidence such as a driver's licence or birth certificate to finalise their registration.

Existing players should contact their respective club for their login details. Clearances to other clubs can be obtained starting from February 1st.

The club offers junior football competitions for various age groups. The Year 3 age group is part of the Auskick Programme, while Year 4 players participate in the EDFA's own competition. This provides a smooth transition for players as they progress and develop their football skills.

Esperance District Football Association remains committed to promoting and supporting the sport at both the junior and senior levels. The club welcomes individuals of all ages and skill levels to join and participate in the exciting world of Australian rules football.
