Fred Daniel Tennis

Fred Daniel is a TCA Advanced Coach operating in Ipswich, Springfield Lakes, and the the western suburbs of Brisbane.

Fred is heavily involved in coaching, tennis fixtures in Ipswich, and plays a key role in the organisation and running of the Ipswich Open Tennis Championships, a very significant tournament on the Tennis Queensland calendar.

Tennis has been a love of Fred's since childhood days when he reached a significant standing as a NSW 17 year old. At that stage it was a choice of a tennis career or an education. Tennis was still an amateur sport so education and a more secure future won the day.

It was in the early nineties that he retired from surveying to get his coaching qualifications and to work with and promote tennis.

In addition, Fred is a keen advocate of the SMASH programme that was developed by Tennis Coaches of Australia. This is a multi-skill sports programme that is carried out in the lower primary school grades.
