Fremantle Wrestling Club

Fremantle Wrestling is the place to learn FREESTYLE wrestling, winning Best Club 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007 and 2006. Fremantle wrestlers join the club for various reasons including: competing in local, statewide, national and international competitions such as the Olympics and Commonwealth games; learning skills that contribute to success in other sports such as Gymnastics, Rugby, Gridiron, UFC, MMA, Greco-Roman Wrestling, Folkstyle Wrestling, and Beach Wrestling; Self Defence; Fitness; Building self-confidence and leadership skills; Obtaining Coaching and Referee accreditation as well as skills required to run local and national competitions; and staying active, having fun and social activities with likeminded members.

Our club is open to all ages over 7 years of age and gender, we welcome you to come and join us during open registration periods. Wrestling terms are conducted in 10 training session blocks. You are invited to come down and watch a training session prior to joining. Due to insurance purposes you must be a member of the club prior to joining in on training activities.

Freestyle wrestling is Olympic wrestling, it builds skills, strength, and fitness. Fremantle wrestlers have an opportunity to compete in 4 statewide tournaments per year and 9 or more national and international championships around the world.

If you are interested in UFC or WWE then we can teach you the basics and build on your skills. The best UFC fighters are wrestler based, or the rest spend their time mastering wrestling skills.
