Welcome to Gawler Bowling Club! Located just 45 kilometres north of Adelaide in South Australia, Gawler Bowling Club is a sports club with a rich history and a proud heritage. Established in 1907, the club has become an integral part of the Gawler community.
Gawler Bowling Club competes in Ladies and Men's Pennant Bowls in the Adelaide Metropolitan Competition. With approximately 220 members, both ladies and men, the club offers a vibrant and inclusive environment for bowlers of all skill levels. The majority of our members enjoy Full Membership, but we also offer Continual Social Bowls and C. A.
L. Bowls (Come and Learn) to encourage beginners to participate in the sport. Many of these novices have gone on to become full Pennant playing members.
The club boasts some of the best facilities in the state. With three Carpet greens, new Light Towers, a new Security perimeter fence, and extensive artificial grass surrounds, Gawler Bowling Club provides an excellent playing experience for all members and visitors. Our greens are meticulously maintained to ensure the best possible conditions for bowling.
At Gawler Bowling Club, we pride ourselves on our hospitality. We warmly welcome visiting members from other clubs, whether they are from Australia or overseas, to come and have a roll on our greens. We believe in promoting camaraderie and sportsmanship within the bowls community, and our club provides the perfect atmosphere to enjoy the sport.
In addition to our regular competitions and social bowls, Gawler Bowling Club also hosts various tournaments and events throughout the year. These events provide an opportunity for members to showcase their skills and compete against other clubs.
