

Glamourhead Sharks is a sports club based in Melbourne that provides a dedicated and inclusive space for members of the LGBTIQA+ community. The club focuses on promoting social inclusion, fitness, and competitive swimming, regardless of age, gender, sexuality, or ability. They proudly recognise and pay respect to the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations as the traditional owners of the land on which they train, as well as all Elders, past, present, and emerging.
The club offers training sessions at various locations across Melbourne. These locations include the Prahran Aquatic Centre in South Yarra, Carlton Baths in Carlton, Melbourne High School in South Yarra, and the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC). The sessions take place on different days and times to accommodate members' schedules.
The club also offers different types of swim passes for its members. They have a Monthly Pass that is paid by direct debit and costs $90 for full fee members or $55 for concession members. They also have 10 Swim Pass and 5 Swim Pass options, which are paid by card poolside. The 10 Swim Pass costs $130 for full fee members or $85 for concession members, and the 5 Swim Pass costs $70 for full fee members or $40 for concession members.
Casual swims are available for $15 for anyone who wants to try out the club. New members are also given the opportunity to enjoy 3 free swims before officially joining the club.
Glamourhead Sharks not only focuses on swimming but also actively participates in various community and sporting events. They compete in local, national, and international swimming events and are heavily involved in the Melbourne LGBTIQ+ community. The club takes part in events like Melbourne's Midsumma carnival and St Kilda's pride march. They also organise special fundraising events such as trivia nights and amateur drag shows.
In 2020, they hosted the IGLA Championships, showcasing their commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive sporting environment.
To swim with Glamourhead Sharks, interested individuals need to book a place using the club's booking system. After booking their first session, individuals have the option to create an account, which makes it easier to book future sessions without re-entering their details. The club also provides a password reset option for members who forget their account password.
