Glenelg Lacrosse Club

Small for the growing club. Plans were made to expand the clubrooms and in 1979, a new upper level was added, providing additional space for the club and its members.

Today, Glenelg Lacrosse Club is located at Barratt Reserve in West Beach, offering modern facilities and a welcoming atmosphere. The club has a strong and vibrant family club culture, where inclusion and success go hand in hand. New players and families are always welcome, with the club catering for players of all ages and abilities.

Lacrosse is a great sport for kids, as it is a team sport that can be played by anyone who can hold a stick. It is easy to learn, making it accessible for children as young as 6 years old. Lacrosse is action-packed and high-scoring, with no standing around, making it enjoyable to play and watch. It is also an affordable sport, with low fees and all new junior players (U13 and below) receiving a brand new playing stick for free upon payment of their registration fees.

Safety is a priority at Glenelg Lacrosse Club, with lacrosse being a non-contact sport for children up to the age of 11. Contact is gradually introduced at age-appropriate intervals, ensuring the safety of all players.
