Gold Coast Motocross Club is a sports club located at 6 Sandy Creek Road, Yatala, on the Gold Coast. The club offers a wide range of motocross activities and events for riders of all ages and skill levels.
The club hosts general practise sessions every Wednesday and Thursday. On Wednesdays, both juniors and seniors can participate from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Thursdays are dedicated to senior practise, and during school holidays, juniors can also join in from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm (9:00 am to 3:00 pm during school holidays). These practise sessions allow riders to hone their skills and enjoy the club's well-maintained track.
In addition to regular practise days, the club also offers coaching sessions on Thursdays at 3:30 pm. These coaching sessions cater to riders of all abilities and can be booked directly with the club's coaches.
Saturdays at Gold Coast Motocross Club are dedicated to general practise sessions. Juniors aged 4 to 15 years can ride from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, while seniors aged 16 years and over have their sessions. These sessions run every 15 minutes, rotating throughout the day.
When it comes to riding fees, the track is 1. 2 kilometres long, and riders of all ages from 4 years and above are welcome. Beginners to professionals can all enjoy riding at the club. Juniors and seniors have separate riding sessions.
The riding fees for GCMXC (Gold Coast Motocross Club) and MA (Motorcycling Australia) Licence holders are $40, while MA licenced riders who are not club members have a fee of $50. Non-members of GCMXC can ride for $10 with a one-day licence, which can be applied for online. GCMXC also offers annual memberships for individuals and families, with prices set at $80 and $100, respectively. These club memberships run from January to December.
All riders at Gold Coast Motocross Club must have a valid Motorcycling Australia (MA) licence to ride the track. Licence applications can be made online through the Motorcycling Australia website.
The club also organises various competitions and events throughout the year. Notably, the 2022 Gold Coast Cup was a huge success, with riders from all over showcasing their skills and competing for the championship.
