To Gosford City Football Club (GCFC), a renowned sports club in the Central Coast region of Australia. Since its establishment in 1963, GCFC has been the top destination for football enthusiasts, catering to all age groups and skill levels, including boys, girls, men, and women.
GCFC prides itself on its passion for football and its commitment to ensuring a fair and enjoyable experience for all its members. The club's main objective is to provide a community where players can engage, develop, and excel in their football journey. Whether you are a beginner looking to learn the basics or a seasoned player striving to reach new heights, GCFC offers a supportive and nurturing environment for you to thrive.
As part of its continuous growth and dedication to excellence, GCFC is currently looking to hire qualified and motivated coaches for its Women's Division 1/WPL team and Men's Division 1 team. These coaching positions present an opportunity to work with a team of talented individuals and propel them to compete at a high standard in the Central Coast Football competition. Interested candidates are encouraged to contact Club President Cameron Bradley for more information and to submit their applications before October 31st.
GCFC also actively encourages individuals to become club referees. Central Coast Football is running a club referee programme to address referee shortages, offering an excellent chance to earn extra income while supporting the Dragons. To be eligible, referees only need to take a 10-question quiz. Joining this programme allows you to contribute to the growth of the club while enjoying the excitement of being on the field.
Effective communication is crucial for the success of any club, and GCFC makes use of the Stack Team App to ensure efficient and direct communication. This free app provides various features to help keep members informed about all club-related updates and events. It is mandatory for all players and parents to download this app to stay up-to-date with the latest happenings. In addition, GCFC maintains an active presence on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, providing a community-based platform for sharing news and updates.
GCFC is conveniently located at Gavenlock Oval, famously known as “The Dragons Den,” situated on Adam Street in Narara, New South Wales. The club's home ground is easily accessible, providing a prime location for both training and matches.
Monthly general meetings at GCFC are held in the Tasman room at Gosford RSL Club on the first Monday of each month at 7pm. Gosford RSL Club has been a strong supporter and sponsor of GCFC, contributing to the success and growth of the club. These meetings are open to all members, and voting privileges are available to financial club members who have paid their fees for the current year.
