The Paceway serves as the training base for the prominent Day and Hewitt families, who have achieved great success in harness racing. With victories in NSW trainers’ championships and numerous classic and feature races, these families have cemented their place in the sport's history.

Throughout the year, Goulburn Paceway hosts ten race meetings, usually spanning from December to June. Two standout events on the club's racing calendar are the Hewitt Memorial Crookwell Race day in mid-January and the Carnival of Cups fixture, held annually on the Australia Day weekend. These feature races draw top talent and generate excitement among racing enthusiasts.
