About

A physie teacher, and she followed in her mother's footsteps to become a teacher herself. Justine's passion for physie and her dedication to the club is evident in the positive and inclusive environment she has created.

At Grafton Physical Culture, they offer classes for girls and ladies aged 3 years and over. The classes combine jazz dance, basic ballet/contemporary, and aerobic exercise, creating a fun and energetic atmosphere. With over forty years of experience, the club takes pride in the fact that many of their foundation members still participate in physie today.

The choreography at Grafton Physical Culture is innovative and changes annually, ensuring maximum variety and enjoyment for the members. Fun and upbeat pop music is the soundtrack to this sport, which fuses various dance styles such as jazz, ballet, hip-hop, contemporary, aerobic dance, and even yoga.

Physie is not just about dancing; it is also about building strength, fitness, and flexibility. The sport promotes increased coordination, brain development, and confidence in young girls. It is a synchronised, team-based sport that is social, fun, and low-impact. It is an excellent choice for those looking for a dance and aerobic activity that is affordable and welcoming.

Grafton Physical Culture prides itself on being an affordable option for families. The classes start from just $6 a week, and the annual registration fee is only $50. There are no expensive costumes or recital fees, making it a cost-effective way to learn to dance and stay fit while having fun.

Physie is not just for individuals; it is a sport that can involve the whole family. Grandmothers, mothers, daughters, and granddaughters can all be members of the same physie club, creating a unique bonding experience. Physie is a sport for life, catering to all ages and abilities, ensuring that it can be enjoyed and shared throughout generations.

The confidence and empowerment that physie instils in its participants is notable. Physie girls of all ages exude an aura of confidence, standing tall with strength and pride. The sport emphasises the development of self-esteem and positive body image, helping students blossom into confident individuals. The club focuses on nurturing students' total well-being, both in mind and body, creating a supportive and motivating environment.

Grafton Physical Culture Club has a rich history, having been established in 1979. Justine Crispin, the current teacher, joined the club as a young girl in 1981. Her dedication to the sport and the club is evident in her role as a teacher. Under her guidance, the club continues to thrive and provide an inclusive and empowering experience for all its members.

For those interested in joining Grafton Physical Culture, registration days are held annually at Grafton Primary School Hall and Grafton Shopping World. More information can be obtained by contacting Justine on 0431 470 552 or emailing graftonphysie@bigpond. Com.

Overall, Grafton Physical Culture is a welcoming and vibrant sports club that offers a unique dance and aerobic experience for girls and ladies of all ages. With its focus on fun, fitness, and empowerment, it is more than just a sport; it is a community that fosters lifelong friendships and a love for physical culture.
