The Griffith Classic Motorcycle Club, founded in 1985, is a sports club based in Griffith, Australia. The club was established to cater to the growing interest in Veteran, Vintage, and Classic Motorcycles and serve as a hub for motorcycle enthusiasts in the local area who were involved in restoring older motorcycles.
With approximately 150 members, the Griffith Classic Motorcycle Club welcomes motorcycle enthusiasts of all kinds, with no restrictions on the age, size, or make of the motorcycle. The only requirement for club membership is the use of club number plates, which are only eligible for motorcycles over 30 years old.
The club hosts various events and activities throughout the year, including the annual ANZAC Rally, which was first held in 1986. The ANZAC Rally attracts around 120 entries each year. The club holds monthly meetings on the third Thursday of the month at 8pm. The venue for these meetings is announced via mobile SMS. The Annual General Meeting takes place in May. Membership inquiries are always welcome.
For those with historic registered bikes, the club offers a Log Book Scheme that allows members to ride their motorcycles for up to 60 days outside of club organised events. Each day of use must be recorded in a log book, and members must carry their registration papers, certificate of approved operations, current club card, and log book (if applicable) whenever they ride.
The club organises monthly rides, including a short ride on the first Sunday of the month at 9am and a long ride on the Sunday morning after the monthly meeting. The short and long rides depart from the aeroplane monument in Banna Avenue, Griffith. The club also holds mid-week rides every Thursday of the month, with the meeting point at the Repco car park.
The Griffith Classic Motorcycle Club actively participates in various motorcycle events throughout the year.
