Operating every Saturday and Wednesday, Gympie Gliding Club provides training and facilities for glider pilots to enjoy the sport of soaring. The club provides winch launching for its fleet of 4 gliders and the other 10 private gliders hangared at the club. The offers gliding experience flights, training, and private flying to it's members and visitors. Flying is available any day by arrangement.
Winch launching is the main method of launching the gliders.
Flights in excess of 5 hours and travelling over 500 km have been flown from Gympie.
