Hantokan Judo Club, in one name or another, has been an institution on the Redcliffe Peninsula for more than twenty years. Formally taking the name of Hantokan (meaning Peninsula Club) in 2004, the Hantokan Judo Club has trained hundreds of individuals, from the age of three to the age of seventy, in the gentle art of Judo. In this time the club has produced many State, National and International champions in sporting competition, as well as countless champions in life. Six current members of Hantokan have competed at the International level representing Australia.
