Helensburgh & Districts Little Athletics Centre (HLAC) is a vibrant sports club situated in Wollongong City Council, Australia. The club offers a range of athletics programmes and competitions for children aged from under 6 to under 17 years old.

One of the highlights of HLAC is their Little Athletics registrations, which are now open for the 2023-2024 season. Parents can easily register their children through the Gameday Platform, with fees set at $160 for under 6 to under 17's and $100 for Tiny Tots. Active Kids vouchers are accepted, making it even more accessible for families.

Helensburgh & Districts LAC is committed to continuously improving their facilities and equipment. They are currently participating in a funding voting campaign with the Greater Illawarra Credit Union to secure grants for the renovation of their Long Jump pits and runways.

The club also organises various meets and competitions throughout the season. For example, Zone Entries are open for athletes to compete at The Ridge Athletics Track at Barden Ridge. Successful participants will progress to the Region 8 Meet and have a chance to qualify for the State meet at SOPAC.

HLAC prioritises the well-being and enjoyment of their members. The season's start date has been scheduled to accommodate the UCI World Cycling Championships, ensuring that children have a smooth transition into athletics after the cycling event.

When joining HLAC, families can expect weekly Friday night competitions held at Rex Jackson Oval in Helensburgh. The evening starts with a warm-up at 5:45 pm, followed by various athletics events. The club encourages all participants to strive to “Be your Best” and wishes everyone a successful and enjoyable season.
