Hinchinbrook Sports Club, located in Sydney, is a non-profit community sports club that was founded in 1996. Originally known as “Hinchinbrook Juniors,” the club aimed to serve the local community by providing football opportunities for children. Over the years, Hinchinbrook Sports Club has fostered and taught the art of football in a well-disciplined and organised environment.
The club is dedicated to supporting all players who want to achieve their best, whether it's moving up to higher graded competitions or simply enjoying a weekend game. Hinchinbrook Sports Club continuously strives to introduce new ideas and development programmes to ensure that all members have the best possible footballing experience.
At Hinchinbrook Sports Club, an open and welcoming family atmosphere prevails. The committee members are always ready to answer any questions and ensure that members and supporters feel valued during their time with the club.
The club has made notable contributions to local soccer over the years. The Club Photo Gallery showcases a selection of photographs that capture the action shots, social events, presentation nights, and club successes that have occurred during the club's 25-year history.
Hinchinbrook Sports Club's home field, Larry Grant Memorial Oval, located on Stanwell Crescent in Ashcroft, has unfortunately been subjected to mindless acts of vandalism and a lack of respect for the club's property from the community it served. Due to ongoing issues at the oval, the club has made the difficult decision to close its doors to local community soccer. However, the club has teamed up with Austral Soccer Club to ensure that its members can continue their development and enjoyment of the game.
The committee members of Hinchinbrook Sports Club for 2022 are President Colin Reddish, Vice-President (position vacant), Secretary Rick Moti, Treasurer Louise Lilley, Registrar Robert Terlien, Media Officer Adrian Curzon, and Child Welfare Officer Kathryn Hughes. For inquiries, there is a submit form on the club's website. Alternatively, individuals can contact the club via email, phone, or mailing address.
Although Hinchinbrook Sports Club has closed its doors, it remains a significant part of the local soccer community's history.
