Established in 1972 by the Howard and Weston family, Howeston Golf Course has grown from a 9-hole course carved out of farmland to an impressive 27-hole public access course. The family's goal has always been to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere where anyone can come and enjoy a round of golf at an affordable price.
One of the unique features of Howeston Golf Course is its three separate nine-hole courses, which combine to form the main eighteen-hole course each week. This means that players have the opportunity to play three different eighteen-hole courses over a three-week period, adding variety to their golfing experience.
At Howeston, there is no need for membership or booking. The course is open from sunrise to sunset, allowing players to simply pay and play at their convenience. Having 27 holes also ensures that players can always find a tee time without the need for reservations.
When it comes to pricing, Howeston offers the most economical round in Brisbane. Green fees are fixed, with weekdays costing $25 for 18 or 9 holes and weekends and public holidays priced at $30. Social club bookings for groups of 12 or more can be made via phone call. Electric carts are available for hire at $35 for 18 holes and $20 for 9 holes, while club hire ranges from $10 to $15.
Pull buggies are also available for hire at $3. 50.
