Humming Puppy is a unique sports club and yoga studio located in Melbourne, Australia. Offering a distinct yoga experience, Humming Puppy's spaces are thoughtfully designed to create a soothing and focused environment that enhances your yoga practise. What sets Humming Puppy apart is their bespoke soundscape called 'the Hum', which accompanies every session. This soundscape combines digital and organic sound frequencies of 7.

83hz and 40hz, known as the Schumann Resonance and Gamma brainwave activity respectively. By immersing yourself in these frequencies, you can expect increased focus, calmness, and a deeper yoga experience.

Humming Puppy doesn't adhere to one particular style of yoga, but rather reflects the unique teachings and experiences of their instructors. Every class includes elements such as intention setting, breathwork, physical postures (asanas), meditation, and sound. In addition to 'the Hum', Crystal Sound Bowls and chanting also play a role in each class, providing a grounding and unifying experience. Chanting is optional, so you can participate according to your comfort level.

At Humming Puppy, they strive to provide an immersive experience by offering all the amenities you need for a comfortable practise. You can leave your belongings at home as they provide refreshments, luxurious bathroom amenities, and an abundance of props in their shala (practise space). Each shala is equipped with 39 well-spaced mats that are sanitised before every practise. Manduka Yoga mats, which are latex-free, are provided, along with two blocks and a strap for convenience.

Additionally, blankets, bolsters, hand towels, and complimentary towel service are available. The bathrooms are stocked with premium body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and other necessary tools like hair dryers, hair straighteners, and shower caps.

Humming Puppy also acknowledges the origins of yoga from India and pays deep respect to the teachers who have passed down this ancient practise. They specifically honour the Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation as the traditional custodians of the land on which their studios are located. Humming Puppy extends this respect and recognition to all First Nations people, acknowledging their ongoing connexion to ancient wisdom, land, waters, and community.
