IFA Martial Arts

IFA Martial Arts is a sports club located in Sydney, Australia, offering a wide range of martial arts classes for all ages and skill levels. Founded by Shihan Richard Awad, a 5th Degree karate black belt, the club has been operating for the last fourteen years in the St George, Carlton, and Kogarah area.

IFA Martial Arts started in a school hall but quickly grew in popularity and moved to a full-time centre in 2009. The vision behind the club was to create a positive cultivation and family environment for its members. It is the only martial arts club in the area that offers a variety of styles including Karate, Freestyle Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts, and Extreme fit.

The club prides itself on its state-of-the-art facilities, which include a full-time centre with ample mat space, punching bags, MMA caging, a strength and conditioning area, mezzanine viewing area, and a fully equipped reception and shop. It provides everything members need under one roof.

One of the styles offered at IFA Martial Arts is Senshin Ryu Karate-jitsu, a unique martial art that combines principles, philosophies, and techniques from different styles to focus on combat and self-defence.

Another popular style offered is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners. The BJJ programme at IFA Martial Arts promotes physical fitness, mental clarity, and personal growth.

For those looking to improve their fitness and get in shape, the club offers a Freestyle Kickboxing programme. Kickboxing is a great workout that improves cardiovascular health, increases strength and agility, and boosts overall fitness.
