The Jamberoo Croquet Club was formed in 1997 by a small band of dedicated volunteers who assisted in the building of the greens and the equipment shed. Since then, the club has continued to grow and develop with some assistance from Government authorities but, largely, through the efforts of its members. Legally the Club is classified as an Association with its constitution registered with the NSW Office of Fair Trading.
Fridays and Sundays are available for interclub competitions and tournaments but can also be used for coaching and practise sessions. Lawns and equipment can be made available for hire to community groups (such as Probus groups) on Monday mornings (except for maintenance days), Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.
On Association days the AC Captain will determine players for each lawn.
On Golf Croquet days, members are provided with a coloured (according to their handicap) name block which they should place in the “Waiting to Play” section of the whiteboard at the front of the Clubhouse. The CG captain, or someone delegated, will programme the games draw using these blocks.
At Gateball sessions the Captain will form people into teams for play.
Members are encouraged to play on other days, either for practise, or by arranging to play other members at mutually convenient times. Green fees are payable for games sessions, but not for practise-only sessions.
