Johnson Equestrian Services

Located in The Hills Shire Council, Johnson Equestrian Services is a renowned sports club offering horse riding lessons, agistment, and schooling in a fun and safe environment. Recently relocated from Nelson to Mangrove Mountain, approximately one hour north of Sydney, the club is led by experienced coaches George Johnson and Christine Johnson.

While Johnson Equestrian Services will continue to provide lessons, horse training, agistment, and coach training, they will no longer offer lessons on their own horses. However, clients can still choose to take lessons on their own horses.

Christine Johnson, a Level 2 General Coach and Coach Educator, will be available for coaching and training sessions. With extensive experience in showjumping, eventing, and dressage, she has taught at diploma level in the NSW TAFE system and lectured at Marcus Oldham College in Victoria. Christine offers training for individuals and groups preparing for their coach assessments, as well as riders looking to improve their personal skills.

George Johnson, a Level 2 Showjumping Specialist Coach, is highly regarded as a stylish and consistent competition rider. As a former member of the National YR SJ Squad, George now competes at World Cup shows across the country. He is known for his sympathetic and conscientious approach to training young horses and has gained a strong following as a coach.

In addition to coaching and training, Johnson Equestrian Services provides a range of other services. These include training at competitions and other venues, assistance with horse purchase and sales, lunging, competition rides, video or digital photo shoots of lessons and competitions, as well as floating and transport services.

The club's price list includes lessons on your own horse for $80, group coach training sessions for $150 on Wednesdays from 10 am to 2 pm, clinics for $650 per day (plus travel and accommodation expenses), agistment at $25 per day, and training rides for $50 per ride.
