Welcome to Juko Kai Australia! Located in Melbourne, Victoria, Juko Kai Australia is a well-established sports club that offers traditional martial arts training. With a focus on self-defence, fitness, increased confidence, and improved concentration, our club provides a holistic approach to martial arts.
Juko Kai Australia is a sanctioned body that teaches the closed martial arts styles of Juko Kai International, specifically the Juko Ryu Jujutsu system. Developed by Soke Rod Sacharnoski, head of Juko Kai International, our training emphasises this particular style. Additionally, we also teach the Aiki Jujutsu system of Okinawa - Juko Ryu Toide. As a part of Juko Kai International, one of the largest martial arts unions in the world, we offer both open and closed division training.
Our instructors at Juko Kai Australia are highly qualified with over 30 years of teaching experience in martial arts. All our instructors hold black belts and have undergone extensive training, including training in Japan. Recognised internationally and registered by Juko Kai International, our instructors provide top-quality training and guidance to our members.
Jujutsu, a system of self-defence originating in Japan, is the main martial art we teach at Juko Kai Australia. In our classes, participants engage in a rigorous exercise programme within a formal class setting. Students learn practical, decisive techniques to defend themselves. We also offer instructor programmes for Juko Kai closed art systems and act as the Juko Kai representative for Australia.
Juko Kai Australia offers training at two convenient venues. The Seabrook Community Centre on Truganina Avenue in Seabrook and the Myrniong Community Hall. At the Seabrook Community Centre, junior classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, while adult classes are from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm. At the Myrniong Community Hall, junior classes are held on Wednesdays from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, and adult classes are from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
