About
Kallangur and District Darts Association was originally started as the Kallangur Ex-Services Club (K. E. S. C.
) darts club in the 1960s, and the small group of darts players played in the Pine Rivers Darts Association weekly competition.
Numbers grew over time and there was a groundswell of support in 1979 to transition from club (with affiliation to the Queensland Darts Association through Pine Rivers Darts Association-now Pine Rivers Darts and Sporting Club) to Association.
During 1979 and 1980, the proposal started to take shape. Supported by a strong majority of members, under the careful stewardship of KESC Darts Club chairman Bob Carroll, and with advice and guidance from the President of the Queensland Darts Association, (Roy Nipperess), Kallangur and District Darts Association was established on 7 December 1980.
