Kayaking can be done by one or two participants, with all participants possessing a double-ended paddle. A kayak is distinguished from a canoe because of the sitting position of the participants, with their legs being in front, not in a seated position. The participants use the double-ended paddle to propel the boat forward, rotating their upper body for each stroke. Kayaking is loved for its low impact on the environment and its sustainable way of viewing waterside areas.
