Kenmore Little Athletics

Kenmore Little Athletics is a vibrant and inclusive sports club located in Brisbane, Australia. The club offers athletics programmes for children aged from Tiny Tots to Under 17. With a season that runs from October 2023 through to April 2024, they provide a fantastic opportunity for young athletes to develop their skills, stay active, and have fun.

Competitions are held every Saturday afternoon at Kenmore State High School, starting from 3:00pm and usually concluding around 5:30pm. Families and athletes can attend any one of these Saturday competitions for a free two-week trial to experience the excitement and camaraderie of Kenmore Little Athletics.

The club's season calendar showcases a variety of events, including both club competitions and outside club competitions. This allows athletes to participate in a diverse range of activities and showcases their talents. Kenmore Little Athletics is grateful for the generous support they receive from various organisations. Recently, they received a grant of $23,000 from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund, which was used to purchase new timing gates. This contribution has greatly enhanced the accuracy of timing for their athletes' events, ensuring a better experience overall.

In addition, the club received a $7,700 grant from the Stronger Communities Grant Programme, which allowed them to acquire 17 new iPad's. These iPads will contribute to the improvement of their programmes and services, creating an even better experience for the young athletes at Kenmore Little Athletics.

To ensure the safety and security of all participants, coaches at Kenmore Little Athletics are required to possess a blue card, which can be obtained through the Queensland Government Blue Card Services website.

Parents also have the opportunity to apply for Fair Play Vouchers, which can provide financial assistance of up to $150 per child or young person. These vouchers can be used towards membership, registration, or participation fees with registered Activity Providers. This initiative is aimed at making athletics more accessible for all families and encouraging active participation.
