Kew Comets AFL Auskick Centre is a well-established sports club located in Melbourne, Australia. The club offers a fantastic opportunity for children aged 5-12 to learn and enjoy Australian Rules Football through their Auskick programme. Auskick is designed to provide children with their first experience of playing footy, allowing them to develop their skills, have fun, and create special moments on the field.
The 2023 season of Kew Comets Auskick will run for 10 weeks, excluding school and public holidays. Each session concludes with a recognition ceremony where participants will be celebrated for their efforts by their coaches. Weekly award winners will also receive prizes and certificates. To bring the season to a close, the club will host a BBQ, with all funds raised going towards purchasing equipment, organising future events, and special rounds throughout the season.
Kew Comets Auskick is grateful for the support of their sponsors, which include NAB, AFL, Chargrill Charlies, Coles, and Adeney Milkbar Café. These sponsors play a crucial role in helping the club provide a high-quality and enjoyable experience for all participants.
Registration for the 2023 season is now open and can be done easily through the official AFL Auskick website. Participants can visit the website, select “Where to play,” enter their suburb (Kew), and find Kew Comets to register. The season will commence on April 29, 2023, and run until July 29, 2023, with sessions taking place on Saturday mornings at 9:00 AM. The sessions are held at Victoria Park Kew, Upper Oval.
FAQs regarding registration, pricing, age requirements, and more can be found on the AFL Auskick website. Participants do not need specialist clothing or footy boots, but they are required to bring their own hat and water bottle. Parent involvement is also necessary.
Kew Comets Auskick strongly encourages participants to complete at least one year of Auskick to determine if footy is enjoyable for their child before transitioning to the Kew Comets Junior Football Club (KJFC). Children can join the KJFC and play in a team on Sunday mornings. The normal entry age is 8 or 9, but children as young as 7, depending on their date of birth, can also participate. Detailed information and the registration process for the KJFC can be found on their website.
For inquiries or registration assistance regarding the KJFC, participants can contact the club registrar via email at registrations@kewcomets. au. Kew Comets Junior Football Club is an incorporated association with the association number A0008285J. The club's postal address is P.
O. Box 76, Kew, 3101. The club is led by President Domenic Rotella and Secretary Cate Thomson.
For more information and updates, participants can visit the Kew Comets website or follow them on Facebook and Instagram. The club also offers convenient online payment options.
