Kiewa Cricket Club

The Kiewa Cricket Club is a renowned sports club located in the Indigo Shire, Australia. With a strong emphasis on success, junior development, professionalism, friendship, and fun, the club aims to provide a supportive and enjoyable environment for players of all ages and skill levels.

Established in 1887, Kiewa Cricket Club proudly holds the title of being the oldest continuous club in Victoria. Situated near the border of Victoria and New South Wales, the club's home ground is located on the banks of the picturesque Kiewa River. The club takes pride in its rich history and invites anyone with a passion for cricket to join their training sessions, held on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5:00 PM onwards.

The Kiewa Cricket Club has witnessed remarkable moments in the sport, including a memorable tie against the South Africans that secured their spot in the World Cup final. They also hold the record for the longest consecutive winning test record, surpassing the West Indies' record. The club cherishes these achievements and celebrates the success of Australian cricket.

The club's website, designed by Chris Bradsworth, provides visitors with detailed information on team selection and club notes. The team selection page, updated every Thursday, displays the team sheets for different grades. Additionally, the website provides the latest results and ladders for the Firsts, Seconds, Under 16s, and Under 14s teams. Unfortunately, a 404 error message is encountered on the page dedicated to B Grade, and the Under 14s results are currently unavailable.

With the aim of fostering a sense of community, the Kiewa Cricket Club encourages new and past players to join their ranks for the upcoming season. In the 98/99 season, the club boasted five teams, including senior grades A, B, and C, as well as the Under 16s and Under 14s. Additionally, the club introduced two women's cricket sides, adding diversity and inclusivity to their sporting community.
