The dojo specialises in the practise of Kyokushin Karate, a full-contact style founded by Sosai Mas Oyama, as well as Kobudo, a weapons-based Okinawan martial art. The instructors at Lismore Dojo have been trained by Sosai Mas Oyama himself in Kyokushin, and by Sensei Tetsuhiro Hokama in Kobudo.
