La Trobe University Basketball Club

The La Trobe University Basketball Club Inc has been competeing since 1967 with a strong history in Intervarsity basketball (now University Games) and local basketball competitions. La Trobe has competed in the Intervarsity championship since it began in 1969. The Club also provides affordable and accessible basketball to students and the local community at La Trobe University's Bundoora Campus.

La Trobe Basketball offers Mixed and Men's competitions on Campus in Bundoora at the La Trobe University Indoor Sports Centre. The Club also enters teams in to compete at Eltham and Coburg for their summer and winter seasons. The Club is committed to making basketball affordable for students and subsidises entry to tournaments throughout the year entering teams in the Ballarat, Warnambool and Albury Senior Tournaments whilst hosting its own Intervarsity tournament for students and alumni in June. The La Trobe Basketball is always well represented at University Games with out Womens team winning gold for the last 2 years at Southern University Games.

There are currently over 100 members competing with the club in a number of different competitions on campus and in the local area.
