Laidley & District Pony Club

We are a small active pony club. Our musters are held every second Saturday of the month from 1pm to 4pm at Laidley Showgrounds. All riders welcome – beginners to advanced, young to old.

We hold our club meetings on the fourth Tuesday of each month at Laidley Council Chambers at 7pm.

Besides our monthly musters we run up to four open competitions a year gymkhana, sporting and hack/dressage days. For all riders of all ages.

Our favourite event of the year is our end of year break up for our members. In 2010 we camped over at Fernvale Showgrounds. We had a trail ride down to the river on Saturday afternoon and when we got back to camp we learnt about campdrafting and worked the horses on a mechanical bull. We had a fun evening with great food and entertaining games for young and old alike.

On Sunday we were fortunate enough to work with live cattle, putting our new-found skills to the test. It was so good that we have chosen to do the same again this year.
