About

When we started

In the 1970s the Nun's and P&C of St Cecilia's School in Wyong proposed to develop a new netball club. Under the direction of Mrs Unger; the clubs first President, the club began playing in the Wyong Association competition.

UniformThe clubs first ever uniform was a grey box pleat dress that had a daisy chain edging on the hem. By the 1980s the club had transitioned to a claret pleated skirt and a white polo shirt. These colours remained the main colours for the club until 1993 when the club was no longer able to source uniforms in the claret colour. The then Committee elected to change the club colours to royal blue and white, the claret colour was and still is part of our club colours but was no longer used on our uniforms after this date.

The first royal blue uniform was a parasilk pleated skirt and white polo shirt with the club emblem on the breast. Around 2004 a royal blue and white box pleated skirt was added as the senior uniform.

Shortly after this time the club moved into the popular a-line dress which is the same dress as is currently used.

Team name Traditions

We have continued to use our Historical team names throughout our history. The highest graded senior team has always been named “Lakes” and our youngest team likewise has been called “Shrimps”. We will continue to honour this tradition, and for many returning families it is an honour to play under these names.
