Lithgow Little Athletics Club

Lithgow Athletics Club was founded in 1977 and meets Friday afternoons at Jim Monaghan Athletics track during September through till April (during the school terms).

Little Athletics is a sport suitable for all children aged 5–16 years which involves all aspects of the sport of athletics, track and field, and the events are specially modified to suit the ages and abilities of children. A wide range of running, jumping, throwing and walking events is conducted. Parental participation in highly encouraged to ensure that all children has the opportunity to experience Little A’s to the fullest. Little A's, as it is known by those who enjoy it, is not really about winning, but about having fun, making friends and getting families involved in healthy activities.

The emphasis is placed on participation and personal improvement. The motto of Little Athletics is: “Family, Fun, and Fitness”.

Little A’s recognises that children are all different and can vary in shape, size and athletic ability and is one of few sports that successfully caters for them all.

Little Athletics NSW aspires to provide the community with recreational athletics activities that contribute to the healthy development of our children.
