Lock Football Club

Great Flinders, 1971 on, 11 grand finals, only 2 premierships, but back to back. B grade competition started, 11 grand finals, 6 topships, 5 in a row. Colts 9 GF’s, 2 leadingships. Mini’s 9 leadingships.

Lock players have polled well in Mail Medals during this era, winning 8, 16 other players either 2nd or 3rd. Notable players have been Peter Beard, Garry Hetzel, Keran Glover, where do you stop? Because of the time in the GF league, there have been 6 Life Memberships awarded to Lock players/Officials for their outstanding service. During this time huge change has taken place at the Club, 1976 saw a new brick club room built and opened, watering facilities installed on the oval.
