Loxton United Soccer Club is the only soccer club south of the river in the Riverland Soccer Association. It provides both boy and girl, male and female players from the age of 4 through to 40+ the opportunity to represent a club with a strong history of competitiveness in the Riverland.
The club has developed a strong emphasis on providing junior participants a non-intimidating environment where they can have fun, develop their skills, get plenty of exercise, make great friends and have lots of touches of the ball (i. e. maximise individual participation and involvement). This is being achieved without an emphasis on winning.
With an emphasis on participation and enjoyment, and an associated removal of the current emphasis on the importance of winning, children are much more likely to enjoy their soccer experience, will be keen to play more often and are less likely to drop out of the game. Our junior grades are Under 6,8,10 (modified games/rules) and Under 12,14,16 (full competition rules).
Our Open Girls team is available for girls 14 years and older and is one of the most successful in the competitions short history (League runners-up twice, 2010 Top4 Cup winners, 2010 Womens Player of the Year).
Loxton United will also be represented in the Senior Men’s competition with a well-balanced squad of youth and experience looking to shake up the competition.
