The Macquarie Explorers Club Inc is a small Bushwalking Club based in the Sydney Region. They conduct bushwalks on the fourth Sunday of each month, exploring different locations in and around the Sydney Basin. The walks are approximately 10–15 kilometres long and are graded Easy to Medium, with occasional inclusion of some harder walks. Each walk is usually attended by approximately 15 members.
In addition to their bushwalking activities, the Macquarie Explorers Club Inc also organises several social activities. These include a Christmas picnic and two half-yearly General Meetings, which are followed by dinner. These events provide members with opportunities to socialise and further enhance their club experience.
The club's upcoming events for 2022 include a Christmas Breakfast at Newington Armoury on December 11th. Looking ahead to 2023, there is a walk scheduled at Cape Banks, La Perouse on February 26th, followed by a trip away to Dorrigo from March 3rd to 7th. Other walks planned for the year include a Mystery Walk on March 26th, a walk at Porters Pass, Blue Mountains on April 23rd, a General Meeting with lunch on May 7th, a walk from Emu Plains Bridge to Bridge on May 28th, and a walk from Watsons Bay to Clovelly on June 25th.
