Maleny Little Athletics Centre

The Maleny Little Athletics Centre is a sports club located in the Sunshine Coast Regional area of Australia. They meet every Saturday morning from 8. 00am to approximately 10. 30am.

The club welcomes beginners and their season runs from September 2nd, 2023, through March 2024, with a break over Christmas.

The primary goal of Maleny Little Athletics is to encourage children of all abilities to participate in athletics. Maleny Little Athletics offers a wide range of running, jumping, and throwing events for children aged 3 to 16. These events include sprints, distance races, hurdles, long jump, triple jump, high jump, shot put, discus, and javelin.

The club follows the motto of “Family, Fun and Fitness,” emphasising that it is a community activity involving the entire family every week. The Little Athletics season runs from September 2nd, 2023, to March 2024, with a break over Christmas. Saturday mornings start at 8. 00am, with athletes warming up before starting their first event.

An adult must accompany children during the activities.

Maleny Little Athletics ensures that the sport remains affordable for families. The registration fee for Tiny Tots is $68, while for children aged 5 to 16, it is $140. Family discounts are available, but conditions apply. Additionally, new athletes can experience Little Athletics before committing to registration by attending a trial day for $10 per athlete.

Registration can be done online, and uniforms are compulsory for competition members. Uniform shirts are $45 and are to be worn with plain black shorts. Hats are available for $20, and a shirt and hat can be purchased together for $60. Athletes must also wear shoes for all events.

Maleny Little Athletics also provides opportunities for athletes to compete at other club carnivals, relay team events, regional competitions, and state competitions.

To register, interested individuals can visit the club's website and create a new family account or enter existing details for returning members. Payment for registration is made online, and registration packets can be collected from the Maleny Little Athletics clubhouse on Saturday mornings between 8. 00am and 10. 30am starting from October 7th.
