Malvern Baseball Club was founded in 1898 and is located on Glenferrie Rd in Kooyong. Currently the club has teams in the mens, womens and junior competitions, with juniors ranging from our Friday night teeball for boys and girls to Sunday morning representative teams for under 12, 14, 16 and 18s. Malvern has participated in the womens competition since it's inception in the early 90s with games held on Saturday afternoons while the men play on Sunday afternoons, with the firsts also playing midweek fixtures.
Malvern baseball club has been a part of Malvern and Stonnington since 1898, making the club the second-eldest sporting club in Malvern, just behind the Malvern cricket club.
We play on the only purpose built baseball field in the City of Stonnington at Sir Zelman Cowen park in Kooyong. We also play some junior games on McApline reserve, a playing field shared with Athletics and Soccer.
Malvern Baseball club has a rich history in Malvern and has produced some outstanding local baseballers who have gone on to represent Victoria and Australia. We have also won numerous Division 1 and A grade titles in the Victoria Baseball League.
Womens teams were introduced in 1995 and remain an important part of the club's baseball programme.
We also have a strong Junior programme from T-ball through to Under 18 and have seen many of juniors progress through to Senior and representative teams.
