Maryborough Martial Arts Academy is a full-time sports club located on the Fraser Coast in Maryborough, Australia. With over 30 years of operation, the academy is known for its experienced and dedicated black belt instructors who have a true passion for martial arts.

The Chief Instructor and owner of the academy is Hanshi Brad Ross, a highly respected 9th degree black belt with over three decades of experience in martial arts. He is not only skilled in various martial arts disciplines but also holds a Bachelor of Education with a major in Physical Education. Alongside Hanshi Brad is senior instructor Bruce Maile, a 7th degree black belt and a qualified electrician. Bruce has over 20 years of experience in martial arts and is also a co-owner of Arctic Cold, a leading air-conditioning company on the Fraser Coast.

At Maryborough Martial Arts Academy, the instructors are nationally recognised by the BJMA, World Kickboxing, and World Karate Associations, and hold Working with Children Blue Cards, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students. The academy offers classes for both adults and kids in Zen Do Kai, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Zen Do Kai classes focus on proven self-defence techniques, fitness, and confidence-building. Whether you're looking to learn self-defence, improve your physical fitness, or enhance your overall well-being, this class is suitable for individuals of all ages and fitness levels.

Muay Thai classes, available for both adults and kids, emphasise the traditional martial art of Thailand. With a focus on striking techniques using fists, elbows, knees, and shins, students can expect a full-body workout that improves cardiovascular fitness, strength, and coordination.

For those interested in ground fighting and grappling, the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes provide a comprehensive training programme for adults and kids.
