Mayfield United Senior Football Club, located in Newcastle, is a storied sports club with a rich history dating back to its establishment as Lysaghts United. Over the years, the club has undergone several name changes, including Mayfield Football Club, Lysaghts Orb, Orb United, Orb Chapel, and finally, Mayfield United. As the club proudly celebrates its 100-year centenary season in 2022, it remains deeply rooted in the Mayfield community.

With more than 250 players, coaching personnel, club members, and volunteers, Mayfield United is a thriving hub of activity. The club boasts an impressive lineup of men's teams, competing in Zone leading League, all-age competitions, and over 35s competitions. In addition, Mayfield United has all-age women's teams spanning across various competitive grades, catering to players with different skill levels, from the highest competitive grades to lower social grades.

Mayfield United Senior Football Club is dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all participants. The club's commitment to creating a positive experience for everyone involved was recognised and rewarded in 2021 when it received 5-Star Accreditation in the National Club Development Programme, launched by Football Australia.
