Established in 2008, the academy was originally based at the Monash University Tennis Club but has since relocated to the Westall Social Tennis Club, just a short drive away from Monash University. The majority of their students consist of university students, staff, alumni, and working adults, with a diverse range of multicultural backgrounds.

Changes in class times or coaches, combining or cancelling classes may occur if necessary.

In terms of general policies, the academy expects students to remember the time, date, and day of their tennis lessons, as no refunds or credits will be given if these details are forgotten. Refunds are only provided under extraordinary circumstances. Additionally, the academy has a weather policy in place and will inform students at least 30 minutes ahead of their lesson if it is cancelled due to adverse weather conditions. If no communication is received, students should assume the lesson is still taking place.

The academy may make up the remaining time if less than half of the allocated time is completed due to rain.
