Morwell Bowling Club

Morwell Bowling Club, located in Latrobe City, has been a prominent part of the community since its establishment in 1913. The club initially began with a 3 rink green and 41 founding members, and over the years, it has expanded its facilities and offerings. In the 1920s, an additional rink was built, and in 1945, plans were put forward to construct a seven rink green on a new site leased from the shire. The present site on Hazelwood Road is where the club is now located, with the green being constructed and funded wholly by its members.

It was officially opened on New Year's Day in 1949.

At Morwell Bowling Club, members, and guests can enjoy a range of facilities and services. The club prides itself on maintaining a high standard and expects all individuals to dress appropriately when visiting the premises. Neat and tidy dress is required at all times, and certain items of clothing, such as singlet tops, untidy shirts or tops, rubber thongs, and soiled or ripped jeans, are not permitted. The club also emphasises the importance of using appropriate language and requires individuals to remove their hats when indoors.

These dress regulations apply to those aged 12 and over.

The club's opening hours provide ample opportunities for members and guests to enjoy their time at Morwell Bowling Club. From Monday to Tuesday, the club is open from 9 am to 11 pm. On Wednesday and Thursday, the hours are extended until 12 am. On Fridays and Saturdays, the club is open from 9 am to 1 am, allowing for late-night entertainment.

Sundays have slightly adjusted hours, with the club opening at 10 am and closing at 11 pm.

Morwell Bowling Club is committed to the wellbeing of its patrons, employees, and the wider community.
