The Mosman Physie club in Sydney offers a unique and exciting sports experience for girls and ladies aged 3 and up. Physie, short for physical culture, is a fusion of dance styles including jazz, ballet, aerobic dance, floor exercises, contemporary, and hip hop. It is a dancesport that focuses on building fitness, strength, flexibility, and confidence while having fun and learning routines.
New members are always welcome at Mosman Physie. Whether you're looking to stay fit, learn new skills, boost your confidence, or simply have a great time, Physie is the perfect activity for you. The club offers the opportunity to sign up, come and watch a class, or have a free trial lesson to see if it's the right fit for you or your child.
Classes are held twice a week at the Mosman Masonic Hall and the Mosman Art Gallery, conveniently located near the Bridgepoint Shopping Centre. There are classes available for different age groups, from Tiny Tots (3-4 years old) to Ladies (18 years and up). The club believes that you're never too old to join and encourages mums to join the ladies class as beginners after seeing the benefits it brings to their daughters.
The 2023 class schedule offers a variety of class times to accommodate different age groups and busy schedules. In addition to the regular classes, girls and ladies have the opportunity to be involved in non-compulsory performances and individual and team competitions up to the National level.
Mosman Physie is a not-for-profit family-friendly community club that is part of the Bjelke Petersen School of Physical Culture, which carries a proud history of over 125 years promoting a healthy mind in a healthy body. The club aims to promote co-ordination, rhythm, flexibility, posture, grace, and good posture through its dynamic and engaging classes.
