The Mountain Devils Bushwalking and Social Club Inc, based in Campbelltown, Sydney, is a club dedicated to exploring the beautiful Australian bush and fostering friendships through social activities. The club is run on a voluntary basis by a committee and volunteer walk/social activity leaders. Club meetings are held on the first Monday of each month at the Campbelltown Catholic Club at 7:30pm, and guests are welcome (check the Activities page for any changes).
The club organises day walks on weekends, which can include car camps and social gatherings. These walks take place in National Parks, areas of natural beauty, as well as along harbour foreshores and in historic suburbs. Social activities may involve visits to museums, galleries, and lunches. The Mountain Devils is a bushwalking/social club and a member of Bushwalking NSW. It is affiliated with the Campbelltown Catholic Club Collegians group of sporting and social clubs. The club aims to enjoy the Australian bush in the company of like-minded individuals and provide opportunities for the creation of lasting friendships. The club encourages individuals to embrace the spirit of adventure and safety with their motto, “WALK SAFELY – WALK WITH A CLUB.
Membership fees are set annually, and as of July 1st, 2023, they are $25 for a single person, $50 for a couple, and $20 for a pensioner with a concession card. The club's financial year runs from July 1st to June 30th, and reduced membership fees are available for those joining after December 31st.
Guests interested in joining the club are encouraged to participate in two trial walks, during which they will be granted temporary membership and covered by the club's insurance. After attending these walks, guests are expected to either join the club or cease participating in club activities.
Insurance for the club is provided through a scheme organised by Bushwalking NSW, ensuring members are protected during club activities.
