In 1984 Pablo enlisted into the Australian Regular Army.

In his 21 years of service he was selected for an exchange programme with the United Kingdom Ministry Of Defence and also deployed to East Timor for peace enforcement operations with the United Nations. He has also trained with the Gurkhas, United States Marine Corps and the United States Army.

Pablo's highlight of his Army career was not the challenging experiences but the World War One Battlefield tour. Visiting sacred places such as Menin Gate ( Ypres ), Pozieres, Bullecourt and many more, it was the most historical, emotional and spritual events. Soldiers doing what their country asks of them and giving their ultimate sacrafice. These soldiers at that moment lived the martial art values that we aspire.

As well as his initial training under the tutelage of Grandmaster William Cheung he has also studied with Sifu Ian Protheroe www. Wingchun-kungfu. Com. au and Sifu Dana Wong www.
