Nelson Eastern Suburbs Football Club is a well-established sports club located in Hobart, Tasmania. The club offers opportunities for individuals of all ages and skill levels, with teams ranging from Under 6's through to open age Men and Women.

The primary goal of Nelson Eastern Suburbs is to provide equal opportunities for everyone to play 'The World Game' (football). As a proud not-for-profit club, Nelson is managed entirely by a dedicated team of volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure that all players have a chance to participate.

Having been involved in the football community since 1977, Nelson Eastern Suburbs prides itself on its long-standing passion for the game. The club is now entering its 45th year of operation and continues to foster a love for football in the local community.

All Nelson teams participate in competitions organised by Football Tasmania. This includes junior competitions for age groups under 13 to under 20, as well as the Southern Championships for both Men and Women. By participating in these competitions, Nelson players have the opportunity to showcase their skills and compete against other talented teams.

The club's home ground is Risdon Vale Oval, located at 26 Sugarloaf Road, Risdon Vale. This venue is utilised for the majority of both junior and senior home games throughout the year. Risdon Vale Oval boasts excellent change room facilities and a full-size football pitch, providing a fantastic environment for players and spectators.

Training sessions are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings during the season, while match days typically fall on Saturdays and Sundays. These sessions and games serve as crucial opportunities for players to develop their skills and build camaraderie with their teammates.
