

Welcome to the New Town Croquet Club, the oldest croquet club in Southern Tasmania. Founded in 1908, the club is located amidst picturesque surroundings with three top-quality courts next to a sports oval, bowls club, and netball courts.
Membership at New Town Croquet Club is open to players of all skill levels, from absolute beginners to experienced players looking for top-level play. The club warmly welcomes visitors as well. Annual membership fees are $250 and are due in January. Playing fees for members are $5 per day, with a maximum of $15 per week.
Visitors pay $5 per day.
To protect the lawns, flat soled shoes must be worn at all times. The club colours of green and yellow are worn for pennant and tournament play. Coaching is available, and players can contact Ian Bassett at 0428 575 269 for further information.
New Town Croquet Club actively participates in interclub pennant competitions and encourages its members to enter tournaments. A club calendar is available for reference on the club website.
- Mondays: Lawn mowing and maintenance.
- Tuesdays: All day. Golf croquet at 10 am and 1 pm. Players should arrive 1/4 hour prior to be included in the draw.
- Wednesdays: Association all day from 10 am.
- Thursdays: All day. Golf croquet at 10 am and 1 pm. Players should arrive 1/4 hour prior to be included in the draw.
- Fridays: Association all day.
- Saturdays: Association from 10 am to 12:55 pm. Saturday afternoon golf croquet starts at 1 pm onwards.
- Sundays: Free for social play, except during tournaments and the Association Winter Competition. Players should follow all government guidelines for safe play under Covid-19 restrictions.
