Welcome to Noosa Croquet Club, located in Noosaville, Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Founded in 1991, the club boasts five courts and plays croquet seven days a week. With a strong focus on inclusivity and community, the Noosa Croquet Club welcomes visitors and new members of all skill levels.
If you've never played croquet before, the club offers a “come and try” session on Sundays at 8:15 am for an 8:30 am start. Alternatively, you can contact Niven Gugich to arrange another time. All you need is flat soled, closed toe shoes and sun protection. The club provides four free follow-up lessons to help you learn and improve your croquet skills.
Croquet is not only fun, but it also provides a great opportunity for exercise and mental stimulation. Playing fees are $5 for members and $8 for visitors, allowing you to enjoy the sport at an affordable price. Members have access to the courts at any time they are available, allowing for flexibility in practise and play.
Noosa Croquet Club offers three different forms of croquet: association croquet, golf croquet, and ricochet. Association croquet play occurs on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 8:30 am, while golf croquet can be enjoyed on Monday, Wednesday (singles), Thursday, and Sunday mornings at 8:30 am, as well as Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday afternoons at 1:30 pm. Ricochet play takes place on Friday mornings at 8:30 am.
In addition to regular play, the club also offers its facilities and grounds for hire to approved community groups, professional organisations, or other organisations looking to play croquet.
The club's committee is led by President Richard Bawden, Secretary Sally Stopps, and Treasurer Sheridan Stopps. John Olsen serves as the Association Croquet Captain, Rob Moncrieff as the Golf Croquet Captain, and there is currently a vacant position for Ricochet Captain.
