About

The Northbridge Knockouts is a renowned sports club located in Sydney, Australia. Considered the best club on this side of the bridge, the Knockouts have a rich history dating back to the last century. They embody the #theknockoutsway, not just in competitions but also in schools and in life.

One of the greatest advantages of being a part of this club is that it is the biggest non-Olympic sport in the world. All you need to join is a pair of sneakers, and the club will provide you with a rope. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced athlete, the Knockouts welcome anyone who is willing to put in the effort and dedication.

The Northbridge Knockouts are proud of their achievements in the 2021 Australian Rope Skipping Championships. Held on the Gold Coast from June 5-7, this three-day competition showcased the incredible skills of the club's skippers. The event was particularly special as it marked the return of the skipping community after the cancellation of the 2020 championships due to COVID-19.

The Knockouts skippers excelled in various categories, setting new national speed records along the way. Toby, one of the club's skippers, broke two records in the 13 years male category with a score of 90 in Single Rope 30 Second Speed and a score of 454 in Single Rope 3 Minute Speed. Toby and Harry also set a new national record for 2 × 30 Second Double Under Relay in the 12-15 male category with a score of 147.

The club's skippers brought home an impressive number of medals in different disciplines. Highlights include Anika winning gold in the Single Rope Speed Sprint Age 8 & under (Female) category, and Saskia Beletich securing silver in the Age 13 (Female) category. Hamish, Toby, and Saya also claimed gold medals in their respective categories.

In addition to individual achievements, the Knockouts also performed exceptionally well in team events. They won gold in the Single Rope Speed Relay Age 12-15 (Mixed) category and the Double Dutch Speed Relay Age 12-15 (Female) category. The club's skippers also secured silver in the Single Rope Team Freestyle Age 16+ (Mixed) category and the Double Dutch Single Freestyle Age 12-15 (Mixed) category, among others.

With their outstanding performances and dedication to the sport, the Northbridge Knockouts continue to make a name for themselves in the rope skipping community. If you are interested in joining this successful and supportive club, all the necessary information can be found on their website, making it easy for you to get started on your skipping journey.
