Founded in 2008 by recently graduated old scholars Tim Chia (’05), John-Paul Calabrese (’08), James Mercuri (’07) and Ryan Hitch (’06), The OId Ignatians’ Tennis Club (OITC) is the only existing old scholar tennis club amongst the established colleges in South Australia. We have seen tremendous growth at OITC in the past 12–18 months, with our level of membership now aligning us (in size) with many more established clubs.
The Club competes within Eastern Districts Tennis Association (EDTA) on Saturday afternoons. Matches are played in one of two allocated sessions, commencing at either 12:45pm or 3:15pm and played at various locations within the Eastern suburbs – home matches are played at Saint Ignatius' Junior School (located at 62 Queen Street, Norwood). Trainings are held at the Junior School on Tuesday nights from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
