Open Road Motorcycle Touring Club (ORMTC) is a lively and inclusive sports club located in Perth, Western Australia. With a rich history dating back to 1975, ORMTC is one of the longest continually operating motorcycle clubs in the country.

Diversity is at the heart of ORMTC, with a membership of around 30 riders who come from various backgrounds and own a wide range of motorcycles. The club's main objective is to provide an enjoyable and supportive community for motorcycle enthusiasts to come together and share their passion for riding.

The club organises a variety of activities and events throughout the year. Regular club rides take place on the weekend following the monthly club meeting, as well as on the Sunday two weeks after that. These rides range in distance from 100 km to 600 km and cater to riders of all levels.

In addition to day rides, ORMTC also organises overnight camping trips and long weekend tours that allow members to explore the stunning attractions and landmarks of Western Australia. Whether you prefer a leisurely journey or spirited riding, ORMTC welcomes riders of all experience levels and encourages each member to set their own pace.

Safety is a top priority for ORMTC. All rides are carefully planned by at least two club members, with a designated Run Leader leading the way and a Tail End Charlie rider ensuring the safety of participants. First aid and basic motorcycle repair kits are also carried on all rides.

Beyond regular rides, ORMTC participates in various other events, including charity and awareness rides, rallies, and interclub challenges. These events provide opportunities for members to engage with the broader motorcycle community and make a positive impact.

Membership to ORMTC is open to all motorcycle enthusiasts. Prospective members are welcome to join a few rides as visitors before deciding to become a member. To join, simply attend one of the monthly club meetings held at the Kewdale Tavern. New members are required to pay a one-time nomination fee of $5, followed by an annual membership fee of $20.
